Phase 2...
...
will create a “village center” in the Historic District, as Cottages 40, 42, 43 and 44 are transformed into an Outdoor Educational Commons. Phase 2 includes this cluster of cottages-- which are located across Los Trancos Creek from the Beachcomber Cafe, as well as Cottage #13—commonly known as the “Beaches” cottage, which is planned to become a Museum, and Cottages 5 and 45, which are designated for operational support. Additionally, the lower bank of garages in the Hollow and the Los Trancos creek bed will be restored, and a new public restroom will be added to the rear of Cottage #1.
Architectural planning has begun, as fundraising continues for this Phase.
Estimated cost for the completion of Phase 2 is $6 million.
